Congratulations to Lola Helms, who attended the Mountaineer Student Enrichment Program for academically gifted students. Lola studied Creative Writing through Nature in the program at Appalachian State University this fall.
Bill Blackledge, 6th grade teacher, was awarded a Bright Beginnings Grant from Union Power in the amount of $1500.
